About
My name is Devin Blaskovich, I am a Korean-American photographer living in the United States. After moving to New York City in 2011, I began making images to document my travels as a performance artist. Through happenstance, I was given the opportunity to work for photographic spaces like the Impossible Project and Lomography, starting as a gallery assistant and becoming project/gallery manager and educator. In 2018 I shifted to working as a freelance editorial photographer full time, eventually moving back to Southern California from 2020 to 2023 to focus my efforts on personal work and more pointed, long-form documentary projects. In 2024 I purchased a van with my partner, which we now live and work out of – allowing for developing various narrative series that focus on the Korean diaspora, the material conditions of labor, and the relationship between nature accessibility and privilege across the United States.
